Hartland Community Chorus

Co-Conductor and Music Director: Richard Waddell

A community chorus open to all singers. The chorus dates back to 1931 when Miss Nellie Beatrice Huger, first Minister of Music, launched a broad program of assisting local church choirs,  teaching choral music in the rural and consolidated schools, and eventually organizing the combined community chorus for an annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah.

Rehearsals for the Messiah begin each October and are held at the Hartland High School in the chorus room on Monday evenings.
