Music Director: Ed Broms
The St. Thomas choir in Hanover includes up to 40 unpaid members who sing at the 10 am Eucharist every Sunday. Repertoire is drawn from the classic Anglican and Episcopalian tradition, encompassing music from the Renaissance through the present day. In addition to weekly services, the choir participates in several special musical services each year: an All Saints Sunday Requiem Mass with small orchestra, a Lessons-and-Carols service (the oldest in the US, with the 91st annual celebration in 2025), an Evensong during Lent, and a spring Choral Mass. These events bring the community into St. Thomas, both by inviting other local instrumentalists and singers to participate and by drawing music lovers to worship here. Interested new singers are welcome at any time, and are encouraged to contact the Music Director.
Audition information: No audition is required, but new singers are asked to meet privately with the Music Director to determine voice range and placement.
Rehearsal time: 7-9 pm on Thursdays and 9-10 am on Sundays (preceding the 10:30 am Holy Eucharist).
