The Springfield (VT) Community Chorus has been chosen by Distinguished Concerts International to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York City in February, 2016. A representative of the company found the DVD of our Mozart Requiem concert in 2013 on UTube, loved it, and called us. We passed the required audition with that UTube video. We will be embarking on a fund raising effort soon, to lower the amount of money each chorister will have to pay for this experience. We will be singing the Mozart Requiem with 200-300 people from around the world, in Carnegie Hall. Our Director, Kenneth Olsson, has worked with us on our sound for his four years with us, which was the key to being chosen for this honor. He, along with the choristers, is very excited about this new opportunity.
